Science and religion have both failed to produce all of the answers we seek to the origins and meaning of our existence. Maybe the solution is to be found in science and spirituality combining its efforts?
But as time passed and these religions expanded, they were often contaminated by human bureaucracy, superstition, doctrine and dogma, which distorted the original teachings. Science developed out of this chaos, because dogmatic religion increasingly became unable to offer sensible explanations for the nature of reality and the Universe. In those early days the first scientists were in fact persecuted as “godless heretics” for questioning God and the church. Over the past century the pendulum swung back and the tables were turned, and we have been living in a world in recent times where scientific skepticism of all things esoteric or metaphysical has mostly been dominating the debate.
How do you find your Soul Purpose? Well, you cannot really 'find' something you already have. You already know what your Soul Purpose is; it is inscribed in your very being before you arrive in this time-space reality. After all, you did design it yourself before you came.
A prevalent misconception is that Soul Purpose and Life Purpose describe the same thing, and therefore the two terms are often interchanged. There is however a very clear difference between the two concepts.
Life Calling, or Life Purpose, refers to your ‘external’ secular or human purpose in this lifetime; it refers to the contribution you hope to make while you are here in physical form. In other words, it refers to whatever legacy it is you hope to leave behind in this world when you return to the spiritual realm. |
